Send by email
This is a Windows configuration integrated into Octopus.
This envelope feature uses the Windows Mailto: protocol to choose which application to launch.
One way to test this on your workstation is to open the Windows Run command window and enter: mailto:youremail@cie.com
** ** If this test does not work on one or more workstations, Octopus will not be able to use Outlook to send the email.
Following recent changes made by Microsoft to the New Outlook, some users may experience difficulties with the Send by Email command used to send the content of an incident/SR to one or more recipients.

Workaround:
If you find yourself in this situation, there is an alternative solution in Octopus that allows you to copy the content of an incident/SR to the clipboard and paste it into a new email created manually.
We have added Send by email to the command menu to give you the opportunity to check out the alternative solution if you ever encounter this problem with the new Outlook.
