No matter the kind of winter we had, the arrival of spring always feels good. And this year is no exception.

Present and Upcoming Features

 

Interesting New Features

Octopus Client New Look

You will soon be able to choose your Octopus look with a theme. And you will also be able to customize the left sidebar with an image of your choice. 

 

Formatting Activities and a New HTML Editor

We are now in the validation phase for the new Octopus editor.

This new tool will allow us to introduce HTML editing in activities, but you will also find it in the following:

  • Activities
  • Web Portal announcement
  • Internal announcement
  • Documentation tab of a CI
  • Email templates
  • Activity types
  • The description for teams and request categories
  • The internal procedure of a request
  • The instructions of a form or a field
  • Comment type fields

In addition to the basic editing elements (bold, italic, underlined) you can change the font, colour, add images, links, etc.

Introduction of the Identity Federation and Important Modification for ADFS

On a more technical side, we have introduced the Identity Federation configuration option in recent months to allow the Octopus Administrators to go into production with this option on their own.
