Summer 2026 Newsletter
Summer is here… and with it come several new features designed to make the Octopus experience even simpler, more efficient, and more flexible.
A Look Back at Octopus User Day 2026
Last month, we were pleased to host another edition of Octopus User Day (JUO), an event that brought together nearly 200 users, as well as managers and specialists from more than 70 organizations.
Throughout the day, participants attended presentations and workshops on best practices, new features of the platform, and the future direction of Octopus. These discussions provided an opportunity to share real-world experiences, learn about upcoming projects, and discuss the challenges shaping the evolution of service management.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all participants, speakers, and partners who contributed to the success of this event. The feedback and ideas gathered during the event directly inform our thinking and help us evolve Octopus in line with the real needs of our user community.

The major new developments of 2026
Since the beginning of 2026, our team has continued to develop the platform, implementing numerous improvements, including:
- the mobile app;
- follow-up management;
- the Web portal experience;
- administration and configuration;
- integration with Microsoft tools.
Here is an overview of the main new features released over the past few months.
Octopus Mobile App
The mobile app continues to evolve rapidly to provide a modern and efficient experience for technicians and users.
Manage CI directly from your mobile device
You can now:
- add a CI to an incident;
- edit the associated CI;
- remove a CI from an incident;
- edit certain details of a CI directly in the mobile app.
This improvement allows field teams to respond more quickly without having to return to the main application.
Improved display of incidents and service requests
The lists and details of incidents/SRs now display more essential information, including:
- the querent's name;
- the priority;
- grouping by site.
A welcome improvement for teams that have to handle a high volume of mobile requests.
Preparing for the new mobile authentication
To improve security and the user experience, preparatory changes have been made to support a new mobile authentication method via email.
Multiple follow-ups: ongoing developments
The multi-user or group follow-up feature continues to roll out in Octopus.
Following incidents and service requests, this capability is now available for:
- problems;
- changes;
- events.
This enhancement enables better collaboration between teams and provides greater visibility into important requests.
Web Portal
Improved navigation in query lists
The Web portal now displays:
- the 500 most recent queries in the lists;
- the 100 most recent queries in the history.
This improvement is designed to make navigation faster and smoother for users.
Administration and Configuration
Simplified Restart After Configuration Changes
Good news for Octopus administrators: it is no longer necessary to restart the application immediately after certain configuration changes.
You can now:
- restart immediately;
- or postpone the restart until later.
A visual reminder will indicate that a restart is recommended to apply certain changes.
New « Restart Octopus » menu
A new option has also been added to the File menu to make it easier to restart the application.
Microsoft Integrations and Tools
New Help for Sending Emails with the New Outlook
Following the changes Microsoft made to the New Outlook, an alternative solution has been added directly to Octopus to make it easier to submit incidents and service requests via email.
New plugins and automations
A new plugin now automatically selects the team responsible for a request based on the associated CI when an incident is created.
This automation helps speed up response times and improves request routing.
And that’s not all…
As always, several versions released over the past few months also included:
- bug fixes;
- performance optimizations;
- technical improvements;
- usability enhancements.
We are constantly working to improve Octopus so that we can offer a high-performance, modern platform tailored to your needs.
We would like to thank all our customers and partners for their feedback and suggestions, which directly contribute to Octopus’s growth.
We wish you a wonderful summer of 2026! ☀️
The Octopus Team
Thank you, your message has been sent.
